My name is Gordon Soutar and I am pleased to welcome you to my website where I hope you will find something of interest. I am an experienced full time Complementary Therapy Practitioner and Trainer and the elected chairperson of 'The SourceSTAR Association,' a professional association that oversees the development of the SourceSTAR healing modality. I am fully qualified in all the therapies and techniques I offer, and am MIPTI, M.AMT and CSS qualified.
In this day and age everything seems to move at a fast pace resulting in many people feeling that they are living with the pressure, stress and anxiety that have become major factors in the root cause of illness and depression. Whether you are in need of relaxation or you are looking for relief from living with anxiety, stress, fear, phobia, past trauma, abuse, addiction, or bereavement, I have the knowledge, skills and experience that could help you.
I am committed to ensure high standards in my work within the field of complementary health. You can be assured of a professional but empathic approach and of confidentiality while receiving guidance or the most suitable complementary therapy available to assist you with your problem. For more than six years I have been a part time volunteer with Waverley Care in Edinburgh, offering a range of therapies to service users, staff and volunteers. I also lead a healing work group within Awakening Scotland which strives to achieve a vision of a better life for all.
Gordon offers a range of complementary therapies and techniques including Meridian Energy Therapies, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and EmoTrance; Reiki and SourceSTAR Healing; Indian Head Massage; Hopi Ear Candling; and Relaxation techniques.
BACKGROUND
Although he did not always pay heed to it, Gordon has probably always possessed a strong natural healing ability. Even as a child he found that when he held sick animals his love for them, combined with his focused intention that they should get better, often seemed to aid their recovery.
While following a career in social services management Gordon returned to pursue his childhood ways when he trained in Reiki. He has since amassed years of experience within the field of complementary therapy and health, channelling Reiki and SourceSTAR (formerly Sekhem(R)) Healing energies. Gordon has further enhanced his reputation as a professional therapist by helping people cope with anxiety, stress, fear, and addiction without trauma through his skilled use of Meridian Energy Therapies, including Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and the relatively new simple yet amazingly effective EmoTrance. He also offers Hopi Ear Candle Therapy, and Indian Head Massage.
Gordon is a full time practitioner in complementary therapies based in Edinburgh and is a regular contributor at Health Fairs in Edinburgh, Glasgow and throughout Scotland, helping raise public awareness of SourceSTAR and EmoTrance in particular as they are not yet as well known as Reiki, EFT, Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candle Therapy.
Gordon organises regular SourceSTAR Gatherings in Aditi Yoga Centre, Edinburgh and in ROKPA House, Glasgow enabling anyone to receive a SourceSTAR treatment for a small donation. These meetings also provide a forum for the regular ongoing support and training of practitioners and students. SourceSTAR Gatherings are ideal for anyone interested in finding out more about this Egyptian System of Healing and Enlightenment, who may be considering taking a healing course, or simply for those wishing to experience SourceSTAR energy of for themselves.
Gordon offers Courses and Training in Central Edinburgh and Glasgow, teaching all levels of SourceSTAR with courses for complete beginners through to Master/Teacher Level. He also offers training courses in MET and the relatively new EmoTrance, from Self Help through to Advanced Practitioner level.
Courses can be tailored around the needs of individuals and groups and be held elsewhere by arrangement.
